I went to the MoCCA Art Festival yesterday. I liked it. On the other hand, I didn’t buy anything. Unlike mainsteam comics were I usally know what I getting into, alternative comics I know nothing about. The few alternative comics that I do have is because I heard good things from word of mouth. Nevertheless, I had a good time, I saw some SVA classmates, and some good art. I even feel motivated to do something non-superhero now, but first I have to finish my Spiderman illustration that I’m doing for someone. Maybe for next year I’ll try and get in touch with some people and get a table there.
I didn’t go to the Big Apple because I really had nothing to do there. I already went to one during the winter (or spring) and got a good feel for it. I didn’t know the diffrence would be this time around so I didn’t go. Maybe once I get some better stuff into my portfolio I’ll start hitting the conventions again. I’ll try and keep in touch. Later, and good deal on the X-Men tapes (or dvd).
