Website Update
I’ve updated a lot of the code throughout the site. Most of it is behind the scenes, so you won’t notice anything. I basically replaced a lot of HTML with CSS. Some of it did affect fonts and placement but most of you probably won’t even notice because it’s pretty subtle. The page should run marginally faster now.

New Storyboards
I went to a storyboarding presentation/recruitment at my old school yesterday. Here’s some new storyboards I did just for them but you can see them too. By the way, this is from Coca Cola commercial I found on the Coca Cola site.
These storyboards and more can be seen in the storyboard section of this site. http://www.kennyvelez.com

NEW YORK Cartoonist Tom Gill died Monday of heart failure at the age of 92, according to Reuters and ComicsReporter.com.
The Croton-on-Hudson, N.Y., resident was perhaps best known for drawing “The Lone Ranger” comic books between 1950 and 1970, but he also did syndicated newspaper strips.
Gill started on the New York Daily News, where he was credited with drawing the first map of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. He moved to the New York Herald Tribune in 1946, and later worked for The New York Times. Gill also taught at New York’s School of Visual Arts and elsewhere.

Street Fighter vs. Mortal Kombat
If you’re a Street Fighter fan (like me) or a Mortal Kombat fan (people who like pressing a button to block) then you’ll probably like this flash animation I found. I used to do funny editing of Mortal Kombat using my VCR when I was a kid, and this movie kind of reminds me of it.
